A MANIFESTO

Coming soon to a brain near you!

1.  We believe in the necessity of action.  We declare ourselves liberated from the false dichotomies, affected passivities, and ossified moralities of our parents and grandparents.

2.  Is armchair philosophy the way to affect change in the world?  No!  We believe in acting upon the world, not being acted upon.  Ours is a philosophy of doing unto others.

3.  What do we mean?  We will not be content until our message is repeated in every home, on every street corner, and at every rally.  The days of comfort, of passivity, are over.  We have had done with childish things, and so we shall do unto others.

4.  It is our goal to rock the foundations of an established culture—culture literary, culture social—that no longer represents our interests.  We will do this (how else?) by being as loud as possible.

5.  It is our goal to re-fashion the antiquated culture of our parents and grandparents into something wholly new, expressive, and inclusive—a culture that gives no quarter to the ideals of a vanished, bourgeois past.

6.  It is our goal to rear up on our hind legs and bite the stars.

7.  We believe these things to be manifestly true, manifestly just, and manifestly possible.
